Three Rules….

My dear wife (the Long Haired General – LHG) tells me there are three rules that I must follow on my journey to Santiago. They are:

1) Don’t die;

2) Don’t talk to crazy women; and

3) Don’t talk about the weather or how the day is going until the first beer is being supped at the end of the day’s journey.

Today was a shorter day into Pamplona and it’s lovely to be able to write these words as we sit and enjoy a beer and some pinchos in the centre of the old city

Buen Camino! ;

  1. I always said that behind every man there was a better woman, the only thing I think she got wrong was I would make it two beers and a cigar

  3. Neil,I have only just discovered your travel chronicle,(Thanks to Edwina) I am filled with admiration for your sticking to it, you must have had days when you felt like giving up, but, reading what you have said, you seem to gained insight into yourself that you didn’t have before. The companionship of your fellow walkers must be marvellous, a spiritual and very physical journey. Very well done. what next? The Shrine of the 3 Kings in Cologne, or Fatima
    Regards
